​Your wonderful donations of candy are essential for making our 2025 Halloween trick-or-treat event a massive success for the kids of Eaton. We rely heavily on the support of our community partners like you, and your kindness is truly appreciated by all of our crew.

To our incredible Eaton community,
​On behalf of the entire Eaton Fire and EMS Association, I want to extend our deepest gratitude for your tremendous support of our annual Chicken Barbecue. Your unwavering generosity and community spirit are what make this event possible year after year.
We want to give a special and massive thank you to our friends at Henny Penny for their gigantic donation. Their partnership is a cornerstone of this event, and their commitment to our community is truly remarkable. We simply could not do this without them.
​As many of you experienced today, we faced some significant and unforeseen challenges. A major hiccup with our chicken supplier caused considerable delays and, unfortunately, meant we were not able to prepare and sell as many dinners as we normally do.
​We sincerely apologize to everyone who faced a long wait or who was unable to get a dinner before we sold out. We understand this was frustrating, and we cannot thank you enough for your patience, understanding, and unwavering support through it all. Your kindness in the face of these difficulties was truly humbling for all of our members.
​Please know that every dollar raised goes directly back into supporting our mission to provide the best possible emergency services for you, our friends and neighbors. Despite the hurdles, your support has made this event a success.

Sometimes, being a part of this community means seeing neighbors step up when you need them most. As we were preparing for our annual Chicken BBQ, we faced a major setback when our aging fryers went down. With parts impossible to find, we were facing the very real possibility of having to cancel this beloved tradition.
Just when we thought we were out of options, our friends and neighbors at Henny Penny heard about the challenges we were facing. Their team immediately offered their support and expertise, ensuring our tradition could continue without interruption. We also want to extend a special and personal thank you to the incredible Henny Penny employees who came out to help us get everything set up and running.
Their commitment to this community is truly remarkable. Because of their amazing support, we can proudly say that the annual City of Eaton Fire and EMS Chicken BBQ is on! We hope to see you all there to celebrate this incredible example of community spirit.

We would also like to send a massive thank you to Preble Edge Fitness! We're working hard to build up a decent gym here at the firehouse for all our crew, and these folks just gave us a major boost. They helped us get a fantastic refurbished treadmill and even donated HALF the cost! Our old one was, let's just say, a bit on the small side for some of our team, so this new addition is going to make a huge difference in keeping everyone fit and ready. We really appreciate local businesses that support their first responders. Thanks again, Preble Edge Fitness – you guys rock!
