Peavey Patrons, we thought that you might be interested in this! Tomorrow, Saturday, April 25, Mainers can simply show their library card at the entrance of any participating Maine state park and enjoy a day outdoors at no cost. To explore Maine State Parks, including maps and locations, visit parksandlands.com.

Free admission applies to day-use at Maine's Maine State Parks and Historic Sites on Saturday, April 25, from 9:00 a.m. until closing.

The free admission does not apply to:

* Acadia National Park
* Allagash Wilderness Waterway
* Baxter State Park
* Maine Wildlife Park
* Peacock Beach
* Scarborough Beach
* Swan Island
* Penobscot River Corridor
* Penobscot Narrows Observatory in Prospect
And in related good news, 6 state parks Downeast will feature StoryWalks from May 15 through June 30! Find them at the Cobscook Bay, Lamoine, Quoddy Head, Roque Bluffs, and Shackford Head State Parks, and the Fort O'Brien State Historic Site. StoryWalks are included with park admission. To find their exact location, call the park in advance or ask at the park booth when you arrive.
