The Easton Police Department would like to extend our gratitude to our dispatchers. Every day, you serve as the critical first point of contact in moments of crisis, and help guide people through what may be very trying times. Your exceptional ability to assess rapidly evolving situations, coordinate resources, and provide life-saving instructions is truly remarkable. Although your work often occurs behind the scenes, its impact resonates throughout our small community.

In Easton, your efforts are a vital link that safeguards both residents and visitors. You are the calm voice amid chaos, the unseen lifeline connecting those in need to essential assistance. Your dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment to public safety enable first responders to act swiftly and effectively. The skill and composure you exhibit under pressure exemplify the highest standards of service and professionalism.

On May 9th, the members of the Easton Police Officers Benevolent Association and friends will be holding a luncheon at the senior center beginning at 11:30 A.M. There will be a presentation by Detective Sgt. Lyman about common online scams that target senior citizens, among other pertinent topics. After the lunch and presentation, Officers and volunteers will go out and help seniors that need assistance with small things around the house, such as cleaning out a garage, planting flowers, or small general fix-ups. There will be a sign up sheet beginning next week at the Senior Center for the seniors so we can get an idea of how many people are in need and will attend.

We are also looking for volunteers to help us that day. We are a small department and while the officers are all eager to help, some will be working or just getting off long shifts. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Detective Sgt. Lyman at 203-268-4111, or reach out via e-mail at [email protected]. More details to come as the event gets closer, but save the date!
