Today, and for the rest of this week, Easton and Wilson Firefighters will be utilizing an acquired structure to complete training with All Hands Fire on new "Bailout" kits that are being issued to all members.

This equipment and, the associated training, is designed to give our Firefighters a way to escape when conditions deteriorate rapidly or change preventing "normal" means of egress during a fire incident.

High temperatures can become dangerous quickly. Whether you’re working outside, enjoying the parks, or spending time with family, take a few simple steps to stay safe:

💧 Drink plenty of water—even if you don’t feel thirsty.
🏠 Stay in air-conditioned or shaded areas whenever possible.
👵 Check on elderly neighbors, young children, and anyone without adequate cooling.
🐶 Keep pets cool with fresh water and never leave them outside without shade.
🚗 Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle—not even for a minute. Stay cool, stay hydrated, and look out for one another. Together, we can keep our community safe.

City of Easton PA Fire Chief Henry Hennings with the City of Easton Fire Department reminds you to always call 911 in an emergency.

Do not call a fire house, firefighter or the fire chief to report an emergency.

Calling 911 will allow them to dispatch all emergency responders including fire, police and EMS.
