Our students are having a blast getting into the swing of the new school year! Check out some of the highlights in our Weekly Round Up below:

📕 School Age Site Highlights

It has been a great couple of weeks of learning, fun, and friendship! Students have focused on getting to know one another and identifying feelings. They also enjoyed making tasty treats and creating crafts with new and old friends! 🤝😀👩‍🍳

📗 Preschool Highlights

Our littlest learners mixed colors to create their favorite color, brought in their favorite things for show and tell, and built a tower to see how tall they are. During outside play time, they discovered a spotted lantern fly and a mushroom! 🎨🔍🍄

📘 White Marsh Site Highlights

The learning continued after school as our school age friends discussed what makes something living vs. non-living, using the example of goldfish crackers vs. living goldfish. 🐟

The preschool class crafted watercolor sun catchers, practiced the letters in their names and counted numbers on their hands and toes. 🔠

And of course, everyone spent lots of time playing, learning, and exploring outside! 🛝

📙 St. Michaels Site Highlights

It was “Let’s Get ARTSY” week, and our students showed off their creativity with scribble art, mosaics, and feather and pom pom painting. While learning about the parts of the body, our two-year-olds made people out of construction paper, guessed each other’s identities by looking at photos of each other’s eyes, and even painted trees using their fingers and toes! 🖼👀👣

We already can’t wait to see what adventures await in the week ahead! Have a wonderful weekend, and we’ll meet you back here next week for more fun with friends!

Last week, we said goodbye to summer, and this week we said a great big HELLO to a new school year! 👋✏ Our sites were buzzing with excitement as our students made new friends, adjusted to new schedules, and found joy in learning. Check out a few hightlights!

❤️ St. Michaels Site Highlights

It was All About Me week, as students introduced themselves to one another and made self-portraits out of rice cakes. The preschoolers dove right into learning, working on their A-B-C’s and 1-2-3’s, and enjoyed a colorful parachute activity together! 🔠🔢

🧡 White Marsh Site Highlights

Our preschoolers celebrated new beginnings, and have been adjusting to new classroom routines, learning each other’s names, discovering new friendships, and exploring all the fun the classroom has to offer. Meanwhile, our school age friends spent lots of time outside in the beautiful weather together and created wonderful art projects! 🌞🎨

💛 Preschool Site Highlights

As our littlest learners kicked off the school year, they worked together to create a friendship hand tree, made back to school “all about me” backpacks, and did their first science experiment of the year – a sink or float activity with school supplies! 🫶🎒

💚 Cordova Site Highlights

This week was a whirlwind of learning about each other and the classroom rules. The students learned about good choices and bad choices, and set goals for their futures. 👍🤔

💙 School Age Site Highlights

Along with meeting new friends and getting comfortable with school day routines, students celebrated the first week of school with a special treat for National Banana Split Day! The children had a great time creating their own banana splits with yummy ice cream and toppings. 🍌🍨
