The Meuser Book Club will have its September meeting on Tuesday, September 15, at 2:00 p.m. in our Annex. We will be discussing, “The Anxious Generation” by Jonathan Haidt. Thursday Afternoon Crafts and Story Time

Come and join Miss Natasha’s after-school Thursday afternoon crafting and story time every Thursday at 5:00 p.m.

September themes are:

September 10:

“Sunflowers” and Van Gogh stories followed by a finger painting activity for
toddler story time and a “Paint Like Van Gogh” activity.

September 17:

“Autumn is Here” celebrating autumn with leaf books and activities.

September 24:

“Johnny Appleseed” with apple books and activity.

HOOPLA ISSUES!
It has come to our attention that numerous individuals have had difficulty accessing material on the streaming platform, HOOPLA. After discussions with our service provider, we have ascertained that usually, the issue is related to the significant increase in borrowing activity
by our library users. The library budget does not allow us to increase the streaming budget at this time, but the situation is being evaluated. Alternatively, Meuser Library patrons are able to access audio books, e-books, and popular digital magazines through the Eason and Philadelphia sharing links found under the Books & Materials dropdown on our website. Also, during the final week of each month, check out the HOOPLA site for a list of materials you can borrow that do not count against your monthly borrowing limit or the library’s budget cap. Currently, each Meuser patron is limited to seven borrows per month.

Our Annual Book Fair will be held on Saturday, September 12 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. There will be a special preview event for Library card holders ONLY on Friday, September 11 from 5:00 p.m. through 7:00 p.m. Library members MUST show their Mary Meuser Library card to enter.
