Behind the scenes from the initial training our crew participated in before the Dodge County Schools Active Shooter Exercise.

This training provided our firefighters with valuable insight into the skills, tactics, and coordination required during active shooter and mass casualty incidents. These scenarios demand a unified response from all emergency services, and training together helps ensure we’re prepared to serve our community when it matters most.

A special thank you to Region 5 Trauma and Dodge County EMA for hosting this outstanding training and helping strengthen the readiness of first responders across our region.

Part 2 of our Water Drafting Training was a success!

Our firefighters, along with firefighters from Dodge County, participated in an extensive and valuable hands-on training.

Crews practiced water drafting techniques and learned valuable skills for situations where a fire hydrant is unavailable or an additional water supply is needed. Training like this helps ensure our firefighters are prepared to establish a reliable water supply when responding to emergencies in areas without immediate hydrant access.

A special thank you to Dodge County Fire Chief Tyson for dedicating his time and knowledge to teaching the class, and to the Dodge County firefighters who came out to train alongside us and assist throughout the day.

We greatly appreciate the continued partnership and opportunity to train together. Working and training together makes all of our departments better prepared to serve our communities.
