These compact, high-tech devices are playing a vital role in keeping our community safe, resilient, and prepared. Here is a quick look at what they do and why they are a major benefit to our area:
💧 What do they do?
Hyfi sensors are solar-powered, wireless water-level monitors. They sit safely above the water and use ultrasonic sonar pulses to measure water levels down to the inch, 24/7. Because they are completely wireless, they transmit real-time water data rain or shine—even during severe storms!

Early Flood Alerts: They provide real-time data and send instant alerts if water levels rise rapidly. This gives city managers, first responders, and emergency crews up to an hour's head start to close roads, reroute traffic, and protect residents before flooding hits.
