Remember, anyone with any schedule can be a Friend. You can commit to supporting one event or many and can come to as many meetings as your schedule allows.

Soooo many wonderful things have been happening at our little library since the Friends of the Library formed several years ago! The Friends of the Eastford Public Library provide support by hosting annual fundraising events, volunteering, supplementing our programs, fulfilling our Wish Lists, and helping us to bring our vision for the future to fruition. Please consider joining! The Friends meet monthly at the library on the third Thursday at 5pm.

Thank you to everyone that came by to last week’s Holiday Fair! More details to come, but it was a rousing success all around. From all of our volunteers who donated, baked, and staffed the event to everyone who came out and bid on a basket or purchased one of the many wonderful items for sale.

You are all reminders of why we all call Eastford home.

There are a few items still for sale, so if you’re still looking for that stocking stuffer - or just a treat for yourself for getting through another week - swing on down to the Eastford Public Library and check out what’s still available!

We are excited to announce that the 2nd annual Holiday Fair sponsored by the Friends of the Eastford Public Library is just days away!!

📣 Please note DROP-OFF times:

BAKED GOODS: Saturday morning only between 8am - 9am. Please label items. 🍞🍪🍰🥧

Wrapped and Labeled GIFT BASKETS for the Silent Auction: Library Hours Tuesday 11am - 6:30pm, Wednesday 10am - 5pm and Thursday 11am - 6:30pm. Please contact Katie or Jennifer @ 860-974-1025 with questions or email us at [email protected]. 🧺

HANDCRAFTED items and gently used or like-new HOLIDAY DECOR may also be dropped off during regular library hours. ✨️ 🎁🎄

➡️ Friends of the Library and Board Members staffing the event should park on Old Colony Road so as to allow our patrons and guests to utilize the library parking area.

Did you know that at this year's Holiday Fair, you have options!

Whether you are interested in bidding on some of this year's excellent baskets or snagging some baked goods to bring home, you now have the option of paying not just with cash or check, but also with your card!

That Yankee Swap on your calendar will be here before you know it. So don't worry about fighting the crowds at some of the big box stores. Shop local, support the library, and do it all without worrying about how much cash you have on hand.

Don't you just love the Eastford Public Library? Want to learn more about how you can support all of their wonderful programs and services?

Then it might be time to join The Friends of the Eastford Public Library! We are a volunteer group that meets monthly to discuss how we can continue to ensure the growth and vitality of this important community hub.

We meet every third Thursday of the month from 5-6P, but don't worry if you can't make that time. There are plenty of ways to stay engaged outside of our monthly meeting schedule. If you love our library and want to continue to support its success, let us know so we can find out the right opportunity for you!

Getting excited about the holidays? Baking up a storm for that holiday cookie swap?

The Friends of the Eastford Public Library are still accepting baked goods to be sold at the Holiday Fair taking place on Saturday, December 6th, from 9A - 1P. Now's your chance to wow the town with your latest confectionery concoction!

Don't have the time to bake but interested in helping out? We'll take it! Let us know what time or talent you have to offer and we will gladly find the right opportunity for you.
