This morning the Town held its Annual September 11th Memorial Ceremony to honor the victims who were killed that day and those who suffer or have passed from 9/11 related illnesses. Thank you to our Eastchester Veterans, Father Anthony Sorgie of Immaculate Conception, Rev. Rob Kirk of Faith Church, the Eastchester Fire Department, the Eastchester Tuckahoe Rotary Club and all who attended to make sure we will never forget!

Eastchester will always remember the horrific events of September 11th, 2001. Thanks to a very generous donation from the Eastchester Volunteer Firefighter Benevolent Association, we are proud to display these blue tribute lights tonight and tomorrow night to honor and remember those that were lost on that day. Memorial Ceremony is Friday morning at 8:30am in front of Town Hall. All are welcome to attend.

On Tuesday, September 8th, Supervisor Colavita was happy to attend as the Parks Department installed Aron Rodolitz’s Little Library at Leewood Park. Aron, who is an EHS Senior, designed, constructed and painted this as his Eagle Scout Project. This Little Library is unique as it has a section for both children and adult books. Children and adults alike can place their used books in the Library and take a new book while they are there. Thank you to Aron for his hard work and helping make Leewood Park better for our residents.

Please join us for our Annual 9/11 Ceremony marking the 25th Anniversary of September 11th. Honoring and remembering those who lost their lives when tragedy struck our nation and community.

The ceremony will take place in front of Eastchester Town Hall. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be moved indoors with limited capacity.
