Eastchester EMS Eastchester Volunteer Ambulance Corps Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. EVAC is also always recruiting for new members.

Since 1952, the Eastchester Volunteer Ambulance Corps (EVAC) has provided the highest level of emergency medical care to all of its residents and visitors. Besides our response to all medical emergencies in the community using our operational leg of the Corps, Eastchester EMS, we also provide CPR classes to the community, stand-by ambulances at local events, parades and health fairs, and informational sessions at schools, community groups, and other organizations. EVAC's dedicated volunteer membership of EMT's, Paramedics, drivers, and first responders, as well as its paid staff comprised of Paramedic's and EMT's, are proud to serve the community. Named 2014 EMS Agency of The Year by Westchester Regional EMS Council! Please visit our website at www.eastchesterems.com for more information. Remember, in an emergency, always dial 911!

Happy Monday everyone! Last week was a busy one at Eastchester EMS.

As busy as it was on the PR side and the operational side, Eastchester EMS did not miss a beat due to our dedicated members and staff who ensured that everything ran smoothly.

High school senior students from the Bronxville Picture House came by on Wednesday to film and interview staff for a senior project documentary.

On Thursday, members of EVAC paid a visit to Camp Rainbow to talk about safety at camp and at home and what to do in the event of an emergency.

Saturday was a busy day with an early start in Larchmont to provide assistance to Larchmont VAC for their annual Swim Across America event.

Shortly after the crews got back, they had a walk in patient of the avian variety. Crews assessed the injured bird, treated for a broken leg, and EMT Bernstein transported the patient to VEG ER White Plains.

Monday blues have us reminiscing over this past weekend. EVAC attended a fireworks celebration to officially kick off summer. No matter what the emergency may be, you can be sure we’ll be here for you. In the meantime, enjoy this view of Paramedic Richman- I mean the fireworks.

Meet Andrew Pecchioni. Andrew is currently a member at EVAC that serves as a “third” on the ambulance. What this means is that Andrew is a CPR certified personnel that assists the duty crews with different tasks while on calls and at the station. Andrew is the son of former Eastchester PD sergeant Korynn Pecchioni. Andrew recently completed his 6 week senior internship at EVAC and plans on going to college in South Carolina to study biology with a premed track. Andrew comes from a family of first responders and joined EVAC to get a head start on learning to interact with patients and to serve the community he grew up in. Andrew has been a vital part of daily operations and continues to better himself and those around him on every shift he rides. Are you someone like Andrew who has an interest in medicine or emergency services? Click the link in our bio and join EVAC today to get your start and make a difference!
