The Senior Center is located above the Broad Brook Fire Department and has been in operation since 1980. East Windsor residents, aged sixty years or older are welcome to participate in scheduled programs and vital services. The Senior Center houses Senior Services, Senior Transportation, and Senior Nutrition. Senior Services provides opportunities for socialization, trips, entertainment, education
al programming, nutrition programs, exercise, and senior outreach. Eligibility screening for basic needs programs is also provided as well as information and referral. Senior Transportation focuses on meeting the transportation needs of our town's seniors and disabled individuals. We provide transportation to the center for nutrition services and senior programming, to medical appointments, and to meet other personal needs such as grocery shopping and banking. The Senior Nutrition Program provides a daily hot meal that is nutritionally balanced at a suggested donation of only $2.50. Seniors are provided a delicious meal and a chance to socialize with their friends. This program also coordinates Meals On Wheels which delivers healthy meals to our most frail seniors who cannot leave their homes. We strive to offer programs and services that help East Windsor residents meet their social, emotional, and basic needs while making friends and enjoying a friendly atmosphere.
