We want to extend a congratulations to the East Windsor/Windsor Locks Girls Flag Football team on an extraordinary and unforgettable season!

The team finished their regular season with an impressive 5-2 record. On Sunday, May 31st, they showcased their talent and determination by defeating Comp Sci in the Class M Semifinals, earning a well-deserved spot in the state championship game. While they ultimately fell to Plainville in a hard-fought, highly competitive Class M Final, we could not be more proud of their remarkable run and the sportsmanship they displayed.

The accolades don't stop on the field! In recognition of this incredible season and his outstanding leadership, the New York Giants have named our very own Jose Ramos as the Giants Girls Flag Football Coach of the Week. Please join us in celebrating the hard work, dedication, and historic achievements of all our players and coaches. Congratulations on a phenomenal season!

Last weekend, East Windsor High School 11th grader Cooper King stepped up to the plate for an incredible job shadowing experience with the Hartford Yard Goats!

Cooper spent the day learning from Yard Goats broadcaster Jeff Dooley. He got a hands-on look at what it takes to be a professional sports broadcaster, mastering the broadcast booth microphone and soundboard. From the daily routine of a broadcaster to the art of the play-by-play - including how to talk about players on-air and seamlessly weave in statistics - Cooper got a true behind-the-scenes masterclass!

This marks the second season a Panther has had the opportunity to job shadow with the Yard Goats organization. Opportunities like this are made possible through our EWHS Pathways Program and our invaluable partnerships with local businesses who support our Portrait of the Graduate initiative. Together, we are working to educate the whole child and help every student achieve success.

It is our promise to parents and our commitment to our community that every single one of our students will graduate ready for college, career, and life.

Way to represent East Windsor, Cooper!

Yesterday during the 6th Grade Awards Ceremony at East Windsor Middle School, we were treated to a very special musical performance by three of our incredibly talented EWMS 6th graders: Zheta Phimvongsa, Molly Mae Work, and Varsh*tha Sivakumar.

We are so impressed by their performance and proud of the hard work, practice, and dedication they put into preparing for this moment. Stepping up to perform in front of your peers takes courage and talent, and these students truly shined!

Keep up the amazing work Zheta, Molly Mae, and Varsh*tha!

On Thursday, May 28th, our Middle and High School Ensembles performed at the Fantastic Festivals, working with collegiate-level judges and putting their hard work on display.

The results are in, and we couldn't be prouder:
✨ Middle & High School Bands: GOLD Ratings
✨ Middle & High School Choirs: PLATINUM Ratings

Platinum is the highest award possible, making our choirs the first ever in East Windsor history to achieve this rating!

To celebrate, our Middle Schoolers headed to Six Flags New England for a day of fun!

Congratulations to all of our performers for a job well done! Their hard work and dedication are truly commendable!

Student Spotlight: Gabryella Guzie

On Wednesday, May 27, 2026, the EWHS softball team hosted Windsor Locks for a special “Stronger Than Cancer” game in support of our senior, Gabby Guzie. After recently completing her chemotherapy treatments, Gabby was proudly declared cancer-free, making the night even more meaningful for everyone involved.
Both teams came together to celebrate Gabby’s strength, support an important cause, and create an unforgettable evening. We are incredibly grateful for the amazing turnout and the overwhelming support that helped make our fundraiser such a success. Thank you to everyone who stayed and cheered us on, even
through the downpour. Your support was another reminder of how strong and caring our community truly is.

Gabby is a diligent student who is not afraid of a challenge and never hides her Panther pride. As a true reflection of our Portrait of a Graduate, Gabby exemplifies what it means to be a life-long learner, a dedicated self-advocate, and a responsible citizen in everything she does. Her hard work has resulted in consistent acknowledgment on the high honor roll and awards such as the Student Sage Award. She has served as a member of the Class of 2026 Executive Board all four years in the roles of Historian and Vice President. In addition, Gabby is a member of Safe School Leaders and has been a Yearbook Editor throughout her high school experience.

After graduation, Gabby will attend the University of South Carolina. She plans to pursue a degree in public health and is on the pre-med track. We are so proud of Gabby and cannot wait to hear about all she will accomplish as she begins the next phase of her journey.

EWHS and the Community: Working in Conjunction to Support the Panther Pantry

At East Windsor High School, we know that true student success happens when EWHS works in conjunction with our incredible community.

We are incredibly proud of our high school students in the Youth Prevention Coalition for their incredible leadership on the Washer/Dryer project! Led by Amplify - an organization dedicated to promoting best practices in behavioral health prevention, treatment, and recovery across the lifespan - our students are proving how vital community support is to overall well-being.

Thanks to their dedication and a massive collaborative effort, our Panther Pantry is fully stocked and ready to support our students! A huge shoutout to Jackson Morgan (GM) and the generous patrons at North Bay Imports for collecting an unbelievable amount of donations.

Our team has been hard at work sorting and organizing over 150 essential items - including laundry detergent, dental care, soaps, and hygiene products - with an estimated total donation value of around $2500!

Thank you to everyone who worked behind the scenes to sort, count, and secure storage to keep this pantry running with total integrity.

RESCHEDULED!

Wednesday, May 27th, the East Windsor High School Panthers take the field for a game that is so much bigger than softball. EWHS is coming together as a community to stand alongside one of our own, 12th grader Gabryella Guzie, and her family as she bravely battles cancer.
Let’s pack the stands and show the Guzie family that nobody fights alone!
All proceeds from the game, t-shirts, raffle, and snack bar will go directly to support the Guzie family.
