There are some road closures happening in East Wenatchee for quite some time. See the following website with the East Wenatchee Water District for more information on closures and questions. https://www.ewwd.org/index.php

🚧 Road Closures - East Wenatchee Water District Project 🚧

Beginning May 26, the East Wenatchee Water District will begin a major infrastructure improvement project to upgrade the community’s water distribution system and support future growth.

Crews will be installing larger transmission water mains to improve water delivery, increase reservoir fill capacity, and strengthen long-term system reliability for residents and businesses.

Construction will begin at SR-28 and 19th Street NE and continue in phases through:
• 19th Street NE
• N Baker Avenue
• 15th Street NE
• Eastmont Avenue to 9th Street NE

Drivers should expect road closures and traffic impacts starting with 19th Street NE between SR28 and N Baker Ave. For project details and updates on what roads are closed, please visit the City’s website or the East Wenatchee Water District's websites.

📚 Happy New Book Tuesday!

This week in new books, we’re celebrating Pride Month!

⭐In Father Material (Hall), Luc and Oliver have been through it all, but as their friends begin reaching new milestones, advancing careers and having babies, they decide it's time to open their hearts to something new.
⭐The Disaster Gay Detective Agency (Rosen) is a punchy, hilarious mystery-thriller that follows a group of loveable and messy q***r twenty-somethings determined to solve a murder.
⭐Dreams in Which I’m Almost Human (Soyer) is a genre-defying memoir of disability, identity, and desire that fuses lyricism, myth, and medical truth to explore what it means to live and love a body defined by others.

📚 Happy New Book Tuesday!

In new releases this week, books and writing come to the forefront.

⭐Marilyn and Her Books (Crowther) showcases the Marilyn Monroe who, away from the spotlight of the Hollywood and the flashbulbs of the press, was a great reader and lover of books.
⭐Trudeau & Doonesbury: A Biography (Kendall) chronicles the life and work of Garry Trudeau, creator of the massively popular and influential cartoon Doonesbury, the first comic strip to win a Pulitzer Prize.
⭐ For middle-grade readers, The Chismosas Only Book Club (Kemp) is a heart-warming novel with illustrations about four friends and the magical bookstore that holds them together.

⭐In Fever Dream (Silver), a small-town, rivals-to-lovers romance, professional bull rider Emmett Bush is not looking for love; he's looking for a paycheck to save his family's farm.

⭐Author Mandy Tang shares about healing and creating her dream life in In Heal Your Career Wounds, offering hope to those who are burned-out, dealing with a toxic boss, or otherwise seeking refuge from their work.
