Tonight members of the Fire Department attended the graduation ceremony for the 2026 Firefighter 1 & 2 Academy. We are incredibly proud of Firefighter/EMT John Bryant and Firefighter/AEMT Sean Perkins for their achievements.

I am also pleased to share that John received the Student of the Year. John recently began working with us full-time and is currently assigned to Field Training Officer and FF/Paramedic Mike Hersom. Once he completes this phase of his training, he will be assigned to his regular shift. Congratulations, John!

Additionally, FF/AEMT Perkins has been a tremendous asset to our team for many years. Sean, we sincerely appreciate everything you do for our community.

Congratulations to both John and Sean. Your commitment to serving the residents of Waterboro with professionalism and pride has not gone unnoticed.
