SUSPECT IN CUSTODY:
On Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at approximately 7:10 p.m., the Walworth County Communication Center received a 911 call from a screaming female stating a male had a knife and was chasing her and her husband. The husband had been stabbed in the head.
The Village of East Troy Police arrived on the scene within minutes, and the male victim and the female exited the residence together. East Troy Fire Rescue transported the male victim to a local hospital.
A perimeter was established around the residence, and attempts were made to contact the male suspect, with no contact being made.
The Walworth County SWAT team was deployed. Chemical agents were deployed with no result. SWAT made entry and searched the residence. The suspect was not located. An extensive search of the area was done via drones.
During investigation it was learned the suspect had stolen a vehicle. Vehicle is bearing WI plate 613WGN on a blue 2006 Toyota Camry.
As of 6:30 this morning the suspect has been taken into custody in Illinois.
