Today is opening day for Dansbury & Stroudsburg Pools! MST residents can obtain a voucher to purchase pool passes at the lower resident rate from the Middle Smithfield Township office. Just provide proof of residence in Middle Smithfield Township. Vouchers are good for the 2026 pool season.

Dansbury Pool and Stroudsburg Pool are not located in, owned by, or operated by Middle Smithfield Township. The voucher program is provided as a service to township residents in agreement with SROSRC.

Important scam alert from Monroe County Sheriff's Office - Pennsylvania!

It has been brought to our attention that there is yet another phone scam in our County where the scammers are identifying themselves as being from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and indicating that the person has a bench warrant for missing Jury Duty. The caller(s) are spoofing our phone number so that it appears to be coming from our office. The calls are NOT coming from our office.
Please note: THE MONROE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE DOES NOT MAKE PHONE CALLS ABOUT SUCH MATTERS, NOR DO WE SOLICIT MONEY.
If anyone receives a call indicating the above and/or the caller requests any form of payment or personal information, such as a social security number, you should hang up and call your local municipal police department or State Police barracks to file a report.

Use caution on East Sugar Mountain & Bushkill Falls Road!!

Please be aware of a traffic change at the bottom of East Sugar Mountain Road. There is a yield sign at the Bushkill Falls Road side and a stop sign at the bottom of the mountain to allow only 1 car to cross the bridge at a time. Please be cautious when using this roadway.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of Middle Smithfield Township, Monroe County, PA, will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Middle Smithfield Township building located at 147 Municipal Drive, East Stroudsburg, PA 18302. The purpose of the hearing is to consider testimony and evidence and receive public comment on the Conditional Use Application of CCP Property Owners Association South for the property located at Tee Drive, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301, consisting of Monroe County PIN Nos. 09.86834 and 09.86835. The Applicant, in accordance with Chapter 200, Zoning, Sections 050-020.E, 050-030.B, and 050-030.D of the Middle Smithfield Township Code of Ordinances, filed a Conditional Use Application and is requesting approval to proceed with the construction of an office building for the Country Club of the Poconos Property Owners Associations South on the above-referenced property, which is located within the PRD Zoning District. The Conditional Use Application specifically asks for conditional use approval to proceed with the proposed improvements which include a 3-car parking area and garage. In particular, the Application is asking for conditional use approval under Section 050-020.E relating to the location of parking, Section 050-030.B relating to a reduction in parking, and Section 050-030.D relating to the use of shared parking for the project. Copies of the application and supporting documentation are available at the Township building located at 147 Municipal Drive East Stroudsburg PA, during normal business hours. The Board of Supervisors will consider testimony and evidence at the above-referenced June 25, 2026 public hearing and may take action on the Application at that time. All interested parties are invited to attend the above-referenced public hearing.
