Our thoughts and prayers are with the members of the Boston Fire Department as they mourn the loss of one of their own. Third generation and a 24 year veteran firefighter Bob “BK” Kilduff was killed in the line of duty at a 3rd alarm fire in the Dorchester section of Boston this past Saturday. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and the Boston Fire Department.

Engine 2 responded mutual aid into Carlstadt earlier today for a working fire in a large commercial building. Engine 2’s company was initially assigned to a relay pumping operation from a secondary water supply and then ultimately reassigned to a coverage task force for the area while towns continued to operate at the main fire building.

Crews operated in Carlstadt for two hours before returning to service.
