The Congressman Norman F. Lent Republican Club of East Rockaway will meet this WEDNESDAY night for our December Meeting.

Let's embrace the Season! In the spirit of the holidays - be it Christmas or Hanukkah - our Republican Club will be collecting non-perishable food for our December Food Drive that supports local families in need leading up to the New Year.

We encourage all Club members and their guests to bring at least one item which will then be donated to an array of local food banks and pantries. Help us do our part to ensure everyone in our community has the ability to express thanks during the holiday season.

Anthony J. “Tony” Santino, 64, a longtime public servant who served as supervisor of the Town of Hempstead and most recently as a trustee for the Village of East Rockaway, has died following an undisclosed illness.

It is with a deep sadness we announce the passing of our Executive Leader Anthony J. Santino. Tony was the core of East Rockaway politics for decades and this club and committee will ensure his legacy survives him for decades to come.

We mourn the loss of former Hempstead Town Supervisor Tony Santino.
