Offices Closed in Observance of Labor Day! 🇺🇸

The City of East Ridge offices and East Ridge City Library will be closed Monday, September 7, 2026, in observance of Labor Day.

All properties scheduled for Monday garbage pick-up will be collected on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. To ensure prompt service, please make sure to place your trash carts at the curb the night before your scheduled pickup date. ♻️

We're celebrating leadership across Hamilton County in ! 👏🏼

City of East Ridge Administration and Elected Officials were proud to attend the Hamilton County Government Elected Officials Swearing-In Ceremony this morning at the Chattanooga Convention Center.

On behalf of the City of East Ridge, we congratulate all of Hamilton County’s newly elected and returning officials who took the oath of office and committed themselves to serving the residents of our community.

East Ridge is especially proud to recognize the leaders who represent our city and District 8, including Hamilton County Commissioner Josh Wichman, and School Board Member Katie Perkins.

As East Ridge and the greater Hamilton County community continue to grow, strong partnerships between our local governments, schools, community leaders, and elected officials remain essential to moving our region forward!

We look forward to this next chapter of leadership and to continuing our work together in support of the residents, businesses, families, and communities we collectively serve.

As a part of our ongoing maintenance work, the team at the East Ridge Street Department is out in force this week – filling potholes, improving curblines and repairing the road system that keeps East Ridge rolling. From mowing and maintaining to pruning and plowing, with more than 100 lane miles within city limits, there is always something to do.

Be alert when operating around our City crews – slow down, follow crew instructions and do your part in keeping everyone safe on the Ridge !

The City of East Ridge is accepting sealed bids from experienced trophy vendors to provide trophies and awards for youth and adult sports programs through the Parks and Recreation Department.

The selected vendor will provide trophies and awards for programs including baseball, softball, T-ball, soccer, cheerleading, indoor soccer, and other Parks & Recreation activities. Contracted pricing will apply from October 2026 through September 2027.

The City of East Ridge is currently accepting proposals from qualified contractors to provide professional veterinary services for East Ridge Animal Services.

The selected contractor will work alongside East Ridge Animal Services staff to help provide veterinary care and support for animals housed at the shelter, including examinations, vaccinations, medical treatment, consultation, and other services outlined within the Request for Proposals.

Help bring recreation, athletics, and community together with the East Ridge Parks and Recreation Department!

The City of East Ridge is seeking a motivated, dependable, and community-focused individual to join our Parks & Recreation team as a Part-Time Athletic Coordinator.

As Athletic Coordinator, you'll help plan, implement, and evaluate recreational programs and athletic events throughout East Ridge. From supporting practices and games to helping coordinate programs behind the scenes, this position plays an important role in creating positive experiences for athletes, families, and our community.

Minimum Qualifications:
✔️ 18 years of age or older
✔️ High school diploma or equivalent
✔️ Valid Driver's License
✔️ Minimum of two (2) years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
✔️ Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends for recreational sports practices and games
✔️ Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment
✔️ Bachelor's degree in Recreation Administration or a closely related field preferred
