Spring has arrived and the Park is looking better than ever. Seeing people here, in the warmth, enjoying the new and restored facilities made all the effort worth it. Thanks to the City of East Providence for their continued efforts in maintaining and adding new amenities to this great space.

(Alan here) I am almost in tears seeing this! I never thought I’d see this again in the park!! This is amazing work and I am so excited to get over to see it!

We are immensely proud of this! We were awarded a grant from the Rhode Island Foundation that covered the full cost of these. Each is wheelchair accessible on one side for those with mobility issues.
Many of you donated to us and we are thrilled to say those donations were used to purchase much of the wood and paint to complete the built-in benches as well.
I am thrilled to say the park has never been more vibrant. There's paths to walk on, play areas for kids of all ages, beautiful tennis/pickleball courts, a skate park and lots of space to run free.
If you haven't been lately, head down and bring friends. This is a place for everybody.

The little things make me happy. New game tables installed at Grassy Plains Park. Thank you to the volunteers at Friends of Grassy Plains Park for advocating and getting a grant to help pay for these awesome tables.

We have dreamed of seeing these benches restored for a long time now! FoGPP provided a lot of the wood for the project but the carpentry was beyond our capabilities. Thank you to the city carpenters for getting this part done!

This is utterly amazing work! FoGPP contributed the wood for this project but due to schedules the DPW is taking on the rebuilding. They’re also replacing the table and will be installing the 2 ADA games tables that we purchased for the park!!

This is an amazing investment at our community park and in the next generation of Riverside & EP residents! Thanks to Bob DaSilva, East Providence Mayor and all who had a hand in getting this done! Grassy Plains Park is truly on the mend!!
