City of East Peoria Police Department, East Peoria - City Government, East Peoria Festival of Lights, East Peoria Farmer's Market, East Peoria Fire Department, East Peoria Festival of Lights Queen Pageant and City of East Peoria Beautification Commission social media site posts and comments containing any of the following forms of content are not allowed:
a. Comments not topic

ally related to the particular social medium article being commented upon;
b. Comments in support of or opposition to political campaigns or ballot measures;
c. Profane language or content;
d. Content that promotes, fosters, or perpetuates discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or mental disability or sexual orientation;
e. Sexual content or links to sexual content;
f. Solicitations of commerce;
g. Conduct or encouragement of illegal activity;
h. Information that may reasonably compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems;
i. Content that violates a legal ownership interest of any other party;
j. Personal attacks of any kind;
k. Personally identifiable medical information;
l. Photographs, pictures, drawings, depictions, or illustrations of any kind; and
m. Links to any non-City websites, to other social media, or any similar links not directly maintained by the City of East Peoria. The City reserves the right to delete spam or abusive comments or any comments made in violation of the policy. Continued abuse of the policy will subject the user to a permanent ban. The City retains the right to post any content or information that the City chooses to post or maintain on this social media platform or social media page that is maintained by the City. The City also reserves the right to amend and enforce this policy at any time.

The East Peoria Police Department is proud to announce that we will begin to transition operations to our new 500 W. Camp St. location. Beginning June 22, 2026 at 8:00 a.m., public operations will begin at our new location.

During the transition period of June 22nd through June 29th, anyone needing police services and police records assistance can go to either the new 500 W. Camp St. location or, continue going to our current location at 201 W. Washington St.

Beginning June 29, 2026 at 8:00 a.m., all police operations will be run out of the 500 W. Camp St. location. Police services will no longer be offered at the 201 W. Washington St. location at that time.

We will put out a future Media Release inviting the public to a ribbon cutting ceremony and public tours. We are all excited for this transition and look forward sharing our new location with all of you!

This morning, Officer Bieber and Officer Chittick, along with members of the East Peoria Fire Department, assisted in escorting pieces of the World Trade Center to Embassy Suites. These structural pieces from the towers were recovered after the 9/11 attacks. This display is currently set up in the parking lot of Embassy Suites and is open for anyone who would like to visit.
