When it rains, “Slow It, Spread It, Sink It!"
All Things Considered on will be covering the San Pablo Avenue Stormwater Spine Project this week, which directs storm runoff to landscaped areas and uses the power of plants and soil to absorb, filter, and breakdown pollutants from stormwater that has picked up contaminants along its journey from sky to drain. This project also adds a pop of greenery for pedestrians on the car-centric avenue that spans Albany, Berkeley, El Cerrito, Emeryville, Oakland, San Pablo, and Richmond.
