Why we embarked on food security with maize:

According to Oklahoma State University:
1. by 2050 there will be 9.1 billion people in the world;
2. 95% of this population growth will be in developing countries like Nigeria where Mbaise belongs;
3. Food production MUST increase by 70% to contain this population increase;
4. maize and its by-products, especially when fortified with Vitamin A can feed human beings and animals. Maize is cheap to plant and easy to cook.
Let us start with the simplest food!

Afrikind Kenya Operations in 2015

In 2015, Afrikind will begin a basic assessment for the possibility of setting up an operations base in Kenya, East Africa. This is not unconnected with an official request from a medical team from Kenya who met with Afrikind Executive Director and expressed interest in Africa Medicaid Program. A visit to Kenya is tentatively planned in 2015 to gather information and build political and operational support from the governments in Kenya.

Stay tuned.
