September 11, 2001 | We Remember

Twenty-five years later, we remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001.

We remember the 343 members of the FDNY, 37 Port Authority Police Officers, 23 NYPD officers, and all of the other first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice while running toward danger to help others.

We remember the families who lost loved ones, the survivors, and the countless people whose lives were forever changed that day.

As members of law enforcement, we honor their courage, sacrifice, and commitment to serving others.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

On Sunday September 6, 2026, at 9:10PM, East Norriton Township Police Department was dispatched to West Germantown Pike and Whitehall Road for a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, a 29-year-old male pedestrian from Lansdowne, Pennsylvania was found with significant life-threatening injuries, consistent with being struck by a motor vehicle. The pedestrian was transported to Jefferson Einstein Montgomery Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

A preliminary investigation determined that a vehicle traveling eastbound on West Germantown Pike struck a pedestrian who was in the roadway. The pedestrian was subsequently struck by a tractor-trailer. Investigators are examining whether alcohol impairment was a contributing factor.

The East Norriton Police Department was assisted by the Montgomery County Detective Bureau, Upper Merion Township Police Department, Lower Providence Township Police Department, West Norriton Township Police Department, Norriton Fire Engine Company, and Plymouth Community Ambulance Association.

Criminal Charges and any discussion thereof are merely allegations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

This investigation is on-going.

🎒 Welcome Back!

It was great seeing so many smiling faces as students headed back to school today!

Our officers were out at East Norriton Middle School, Paul V. Fly Elementary School, and Cole Manor Elementary School helping welcome students back and making sure the first day got off to a great start.

We’re proud of the relationship our officers have built with our students and schools, and we look forward to another great year working together.

Please join us in welcoming Officer Greg McCabe to the East Norriton Township Police Department!

On July 28, 2026, Officer McCabe was ceremoniously sworn in during the East Norriton Township Board of Supervisors' meeting, surrounded by fellow officers, family, and friends.

Officer McCabe brings nine years of law enforcement experience to our department and comes from a proud family of veteran law enforcement officers. We are excited to have him join our team and know he will be a tremendous asset to both our department and the East Norriton community.

Every year, we look forward to participating in Variety Club Community Day. Today, Detective Sergeant Rota, Officer Kaisinger, and K9 Peaches had a great time meeting and interacting with the Variety kids.
