Join us TONIGHT at 6:00 PM at the Riverfront Park Amphitheater for Freestyle Night with music by DJ Juan Miranda! 🎧🎤💃🕺

Mother Nature decided to give the park a little shower this morning 🌧️😂, so we’re making tonight BYOC — BRING YOUR OWN CHAIR! 🪑 The show is ON, the music is ready, and we’re not letting a little rain ruin our Sunday fun!

The Borough of East Newark came together for our annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony, honoring the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, the brave first responders who answered the call, and all those whose lives were forever changed by that tragic day.

Mayor Dina M. Grilo, members of the Borough Council, the East Newark Police Department, and the East Newark Fire Department were in attendance as we paused together to reflect, remember, and pay tribute.

A special thank you to Joel Paedres for beautifully singing our National Anthem, and to Town Historian Karl Petry for sharing his personal story and memories of September 11th with our community.

May we always remember the courage, sacrifice, unity, and strength shown in the days that followed.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙

Today, we pause to remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

On this 25th anniversary, the Borough of East Newark joins communities across our nation in paying tribute to the victims, the families forever impacted, and the first responders whose courage, service, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
