We are a local group of well trained, volunteer firefighters dedicated to wildland fire operations that support the communities of Montana. Currently comprised of 19 members and three apparatus; a Type I Structure Engine, a Type 5 F-550 Wildland Engine, and a Water Tender. Interested in being a Volunteer FireFighter or EMT? Head on down to the UM Oval where we have a crew that will answer any questions you may have. They can also provide you with an application! They will be there until 2 or 3pm.

---NEW EVACUATION ORDER for Hwy 12---

As of 10 PM on Wednesday 8/16, there is an EVACUATION ORDER to immediately leave the area per Missoula County Sheriff's Office. Do not delay, fire conditions present an immediate threat to people and homes from mile post 31.5 to 29.5 on both sides of Highway 12. This includes Fort Fizzle to Balsam Root Road on both sides of Highway 12 as well as Portions of Mormon Creek Road past and including Vann Drive.

This new Evacuation Order expands upon the previous evacuation order for Hwy 12.

Evacuees must check in at the trailer located at the intersection of highway 93 and highway 12 at the Weigh station south of Town Pump.
