As grilling season begins, the East Longmeadow Fire Department reminds residents to grill safely:

• Keep grills at least 10 ft from home & decks

• Never leave a grill unattended

• Keep children & pets a safe distance away

• Clean grease buildup regularly

• Check propane connections for leaks

• Keep a hose or fire extinguisher nearby

As we wrap up National EMS Week, we would like to thank the agencies that help us every day. Action Ambulance Service Inc., Longmeadow Fire Department, Wilbraham Fire Department, Somers Fire Department, and, of course, East Longmeadow Police Department.
