🚛 The City Of East Liverpool refuse department employees are currently receiving hands-on training with the first of our two new refuse trucks that was delivered on Monday, March 23.

🗑️ These trucks were recently purchased to upgrade our fleet. The second truck is currently being outfitted with an additional tipper and will be delivered once installation is complete.

♻️ This represents an important investment in both employee safety and service reliability, helping us stay on track in providing efficient, dependable refuse collection to our residents.

❄️ We would like to thank our residents for their patience during the winter weather, and throughout the use of our older, unreliable trucks that are now being taken out of service.

👏🏻 We also want to recognize and thank our refuse department employees for their dedication and hard work during extreme weather conditions and mechanical failures of the trucks.

🙌🏻 The refuse department also appreciates the support of East Liverpool City Council members in facilitating the purchase of these trucks.

- Do not overfill or leave bags/items outside your designated cart(s). These items will not be picked up. Per Ordinance, the cart should not be filled to where the lid can not close.

If an additional cart is needed or the claw truck is needed for bulk items, please call the Safety Service Director’s office at 330-386-6584 or the Mayor’s office at 330-385-3381 Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm for assistance.

With some wind gusts up to 60 mph, many powerlines in the area are down including on St. Clair Ave in East Liverpool.

A tree fell onto a powerline, and road crews are actively on scene removing the tree.

🎉 HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAINTENANCE DIRECTOR John Hedrick, who is also a former Navy Aviation Ordinanceman! Mayor Bob Smith, former Navy Seabee Equipment Operator, gave Hedrick his present of mopping the lobby floor in City Hall for him as he looked on. Smith remarked he had plenty of practice while he was in the service mopping the floors due to this “assignment” by his superiors.

A reminder to ALL East Liverpool City Residents.

All residents ages 18 through 65 (beyond if you have taxable income) are REQUIRED, as per City Ordinance, to file an annual city income tax return, regardless of whether or not you had any income or owe any tax.

A copy of your Federal 1040 and W2's are needed. If you did not file a return you need to obtain a Record of Earnings from the Social Security Office or their website, ssa.gov.

The filing deadline is April 15th, after that state mandated late penalties will be assessed.

Tax preparers or tax software (ex: Turbotax or Freetax) DO NOT send us returns, it is up to you to bring them in.

Office hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm and Friday 8:00am-4:00pm, we are closed for lunch from 12:00pm-1:00pm.
