The sky is clearing and it's going to be a great day to bring your kids 15 and under to our 12th Annual Doug Fodrey Fishing Day. We'll be set up around 10 . Door prizes will be drawn at 2.Please remember winners must be present! No accepting for.... Mill will be grinding ,Linda will have activities at the schoolhouse and the trading post will be open until 4

Just a reminder, our 12th Annual Doug Fodrey memorial kids fishing day will be held Sat June 6 from 10-3. Bring your kids 15 and under and make some fishtastic memories. Everything they will need is provided and door prizes will be drawn thanks to the Fodrey family. While you are there, take in the operations of Gaston's Mill and pick up some fresh ground cornmeal, both blue and yellow,grits and buckwheat.Trading Post will be open until 4.

So, at the Beaver Creek Bigfoot Festival last Sunday who did I see but President Abraham Lincoln and his First Lady, Mary Todd Lincoln! They both were so delightful... He talked in the first person and told me stories I had heard before so they must have been true... He chose for them to stand in front of this log cabin as being most appropriate... they made my day!

Everyone loves our Sweetwater's Bourbon maple syrup so why not try our Huckle Bee Farms bourbon infused honey?A great addition to tea or coffee. Try it with chicken or those honey glazed baby carrots. The Trading Post will be open from 9-4 today and tomorrow and Monday, Memorial Day. Stop by and ask for a sample. We also have other exciting infused flavors such as peach, raspberry,blackberry,Irish Creme, toasted marshmallow and vanilla.
Our cooler is stocked with freshly ground buckwheat, cornmeal and grits.
