π Potter Spotlight:
Meet Your Truancy Officer | Mrs Brenda Pilarcik! ππ€
At East Liverpool City Schools, we believe every day in school matters. Regular attendance helps students stay connected, build relationships, keep up academically, and make the most of every opportunity available to them.
Meet Brenda Pilarcik, ELCSD Truancy Officer, who works alongside students, families, and school staff to address attendance concerns early, respectfully, and with a focus on solutions.
Brendaβs role is about much more than attendance numbers. She is here to help families identify and overcome barriers that may be keeping students from school whether those challenges involve transportation, academics, family needs, or other circumstances.
π Did you know? Ohio measures school attendance in hours not simply full days. Attendance concerns can add up quickly, which is why early communication and partnership are so important.
When attendance becomes a concern, our goal is to connect, understand, plan, support, and monitor and working with families to help students get back on track and succeed.
