Volunteers can lead fun, hands-on activities or simply supervise open playtime. For many children, these moments provide a chance to relax, have fun, and just be kids.

As a program that provides essential items for families both while they are staying in our shelter and after they transition into housing through our aftercare program, community support plays a vital role in helping us meet these ongoing needs.

A sincere thank you to the Michigan Department of Education for thinking of Haven House and organizing a collection of much-needed supplies. Your generosity helps us continue supporting the families we serve and ensures they have access to the resources they need. 🫶

Chicken Tortellini Casserole is on the menu this week, with extra meals prepared and stocked in our freezer for those busy nights when we need a delicious meal to serve in half the time.

A heartfelt thank you to BeTheChurch for donating 12 fully cooked entrées, helping us keep our freezer stocked and ensuring families have access to nutritious meals when they need them most.

Exciting news!!! 🎉Two outreach families moved into housing! Their hard work helped them reach home without needing to enter shelter.

Each family has now entered our Partners in Progress program, where they will continue to receive case management support from our Housing Resource Specialist for the next 14 months.

Our lobby flooring project is officially complete, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! The refreshed space on the right feels more open, warmer, and welcoming for the families we serve.

Every donation is converted into gift cards that help our food pantry provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner for families sheltered with us each day. Since October 1, we have sheltered more than 130 moms, dads, and children in our community.

The process is SIMPLE, but the impact is GREAT!

Our community is AMAZING! We greatly appreciate everyone who saw our need for diapers and pull-ups and had these sent our way. 🫶

We are still extremely low in 5T-6T pull-ups for littles currently being sheltered.
