Due to the unexpected incident with the Waste Management truck catching fire the Bulk Waste pick-up has not been completed today. They plan to be back tomorrow first thing in the morning so please leave the stickered items out. We will NOT be offering any further sticker sales.

Bulk Waste pick up scheduled for Monday, May 11.

The Solid Waste Removal & Recycling Committee wishes to remind East Kingston residents that the first of two Bulk Waste pick-ups is scheduled for May 11.The other date is September 21.

The Bulk Waste pickup uses a sticker system such as the one we use for White Goods. Each household will be allowed 2 free stickers and may purchase additional stickers for $25 each. Stickers must be picked up at the Town Clerks Office. A log will be kept to record each household that picks up their free stickers as well as any purchased. Bulky items are defined below Any other items will not be picked up even if they have a sticker.

Bulk Waste is defined as: A large item or bundle other than commercial construction and demolition debris, hazardous waste, White Goods or CRT’s which cannot fit into a cart. Items shall include, but not limited to: tables, chairs, couches, bed frames, mattresses, bedsprings, grills, lawn mowers (without fuel tank), bathroom fixtures, etc.

Residents are urged to check their 2026 Trash & Recycling Collection Services brochure they received in US mail earlier this year for additional information. Additional copies are available at the Town Offices.
