On July 20, 2026 Stumpfield Road will be closed from Whipple Way to the East Kingston town line due to road construction from 0700 hours to 1600 hours. There will be no throughway traffic due to a culvert being replaced.

South Rd at the intersection of Main Ave is currently closed due to a downed pole. We will update when it is back open!

With the upcoming storm Waste Management has delayed trash pickup for Monday January 26th. Please refrain from putting your barrels out until Tuesday morning so they do not interfere with snow removal.

If you have to venture out during the storm please keep your speeds down and remember there is no parking on roadways or you could be subject to a ticket and tow.

Eliminating deaths on New Hampshire’s roadways is an important vision and the driving force behind the work of the New Hampshire “Driving Toward Zero” (NHDTZD) campaign, it is also an important vision for all who travel New Hampshire’s roadways – by motor vehicle, truck, bicycle or even by foot day and night under all types of weather conditions.
The NHDTZ’s mission is to create a safety culture where even one roadway fatality is one too many. Please join us to hear about the “Driving Toward Zero” campaign and learn the common causes of accidents

30 years ago today, the sacrifice is never forgotten

NH - East Kingston Police Department

MELVIN ALAN KEDDY

Officer Melvin Keddy was struck and killed by a drunk driver's vehicle while investigating a one-car accident. He was flown to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The 32-year-old suspect, charged with negligent homicide, accepted a plea bargain following a hung jury.

On September 7, 2005, a portion of Route 125 was dedicated as the Officer Melvin A. Keddy Memorial Highway.
