The Natchaug River Young Marines would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Plainfield VFW for once again inviting us to assist with this year’s Reason to Ride event.

It is an absolute honor to be part of this incredible event each year. We are grateful for the opportunity to support the riders, volunteers, veterans, and community members who come together to make the event such a success.

The Natchaug River Young Marines would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Pomfret Rod and Gun Club and Pomfret Recreation Department for inviting our unit to volunteer at this year’s Annual Fishing Derby.

Our Young Marines were honored to assist with this wonderful community event and enjoyed the opportunity to support the participants, families, and organizers who helped make the day a success. Events like these provide valuable opportunities for our youth to serve their community, develop leadership skills, and experience the importance of volunteerism.

We appreciate the warm welcome and continued partnership with Pomfret Rod and Gun Club. Thank you for allowing our Young Marines to be a part of such a longstanding tradition that brings families together and promotes outdoor recreation for local youth.

Tonight we proudly congratulate Recruit Class 0526 on graduating from recruit training! 🎉🇺🇸

Over the past several weeks, these young men and women have shown determination, discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. They faced challenges head-on, pushed through obstacles, and earned the title of Young Marine through hard work and dedication.

We could not be more proud of everything you have accomplished and the growth you have shown throughout this journey. Your commitment to leadership, service, and personal excellence represents the very best of the Young Marines program.

This weekend, the Natchaug River Young Marines completed their 24-Hour Survival Encampment!

Throughout the event, the Young Marines were challenged to build their own shelters, build and maintain a fire for the full 24 hours, cook all 3 meals over the fire, stay awake the entire time, and gather enough wood to keep their fires going.

Every Young Marine did an outstanding job, showed determination, teamwork, and resilience, and learned valuable survival skills along the way. We are proud of all their hard work and dedication.

Happy Mother’s Day from the Natchaug River Young Marines! 🌸

We had a great time this morning making and serving breakfast for all the wonderful moms and families at Charlie Brown Campground. Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make the morning so special. We are proud to serve our community and celebrate the amazing mothers who do so much every day!
