Message from the Mayor

September 30, 2025

Dear Residents,

We are excited to kick off the fall season with two fantastic events!

Spooktacular Fall Festival
Saturday, October 18 • 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM (rain date 10/25/25)

Join us for our beloved Spooktacular! This annual tradition will feature rides, games, pony rides, a petting zoo, hayride, a not so spooky trail and a variety of additional family-friendly activities including an appearance by, Jersey the Dinosaur!

Park after Dark: Haunted Hayride & Wicked Walk
October 16, 17 & 18 • Starting at 7:00 PM
Dare to enter… if you’re brave enough! This hayride and nighttime walk through the woods at The Park at East Hills is intended to be scary. Please note that this event is designed to be frightening and is not recommended for young children.

To avoid lines, tickets for both events should be purchased in advance and are available here: https://villageofeasthills.org/park/pay-for-park-events/

We look forward to celebrating fall with you!

With my best wishes,

The Board of Trustees and myself are so excited that our spectacular Fireworks Show is less than a week away -
THURSDAY JULY 3 with the DJ starting at 6 pm and the fireworks display with music choreographed by
Deputy Mayor Brian Meyerson beginning at 9 pm.

Guest tickets are still available at the park office or at the pool booth. Residents just need to show their Park Card for entry.

Please be advised that the Nassau County Police Arson Squad stated no drones will be permitted during the
event. The Police have emphasized that compliance with this requirement is crucial, and failure to adhere to it
will result in the immediate cancellation of the fireworks show by the police.

We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Many residents have told me that this is their favorite night of the year. We agree and will do everything
to make the night special.

With my best wishes,

Michael Koblenz

Dear East Hills Resident,

We would like to remind you that all residents in your household must possess a valid and working Park Card. Each family member over the age of two must have their own Park Card, as it is necessary for accessing all park amenities including the Pool, Playground, Tennis, Pickle Ball, Basketball courts, Village Hall Lounge, and Fitness Center. This is done for the security and protection of all residents.

Please note that a driver's license or any other form of ID will not be accepted. Only a valid park card will allow access to the Park.

In addition, adolescents who have not attained the age of 15 by December 1 of each prior year cannot be dropped off at the pool, unless supervised by someone who has reached his or her 18th birthday and who assumes full responsibility for the children's safety and conduct. One adult can supervise no more than four children and teens. When the child or teen is in the water, an adult must be poolside or in the pool. The adult must assume full responsibility for the child’s and teen's conduct and safety.

If you or any resident in your home has not yet applied for a Park Card, please go to the Village website at www.villageofeasthills.org for all necessary forms and instructions.

For those who have lost or misplaced their card, please reach out to Kelly in the Park office at 516-484-9800 or email us at [email protected] for information about replacements and any associated fees.

We are pleased to announce the opening of the Park at East Hills for our 19th season.
Unfortunately due to the unseasonably cold weather forecast for Saturday, the Pool will now open on Sunday, May 25th at 10:00 AM.

The Grand Opening of the Pickle Ball courts will still be Saturday at 9:00 AM.

Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you at the Park!

Dear East Hills Family,

We are pleased to announce that on Saturday, May 24 at 9am, our three newly constructed pickleball courts will open at The Park at East Hills. The new courts are regulation size, with permanent nets.

To help celebrate the completion of the new pickleball courts, we’re kicking the day off with free lessons for beginners.

SPORTIME Pickleball will be here to offer free lessons for beginners from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
It will be first come, first served, but if spots fill up quickly, we’ll add additional beginner sessions on Sunday, May 25th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. All ages are welcome and SPORTIME will provide paddles, balls, and even some giveaways — just bring sneakers!

Please email [email protected] with your name, age, and preferred time slot - Saturday 9–10 AM, 10–11 AM, or Sunday (if needed), so we can plan accordingly.

After 11:00 am, our normal reservation system will resume for courts 2 and 3.

Court 1 will be reserved for open play. Open play refers to a play session where players of various skill levels come together for a casual game. If you want to use court 1, simply put your
paddle in the next up rack and wait your turn.

We look forward to a new and exciting Pickball Season.

With my best wishes,

Michael R. Koblenz

We are pleased to announce that the pool will be opening Saturday, May 24th, 2025

Every member of your family over the age of two must have their own Park Card. We require everyone provide a Park Card to enter all of the Park’s amenities – including the Pool, Playground, Tennis, Pickle Ball, Basketball courts, Village Hall Lounge, and Fitness Center.

Showing a driver’s license is not acceptable.

Additionally, children who have not attained the age of 15 by December 1 of each prior year must be supervised in the pool area by a person who has reached his or her 18th birthday and who assumes full responsibility for the children's safety and conduct. You may not drop off your children and leave them unattended.

These policies are in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable time for everyone while at the pool.

With my best wishes,

Michael R. Koblenz
