🌟 Leadership Spotlight

The Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce is proud to recognize Patricia Eaves-Heard, a dedicated regional leader whose work bridges business, utilities, government, economic development, and community engagement across Northern Illinois.

Patricia serves as Secretary of the Executive Committee for the Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce, where she contributes her experience in regional governance, corporate advocacy, and public-private partnerships to help advance opportunities for businesses throughout the South Suburbs.

Professionally, Patricia serves as Regional Manager of Community Affairs for Cook County at Nicor Gas, where she works closely with municipalities, community organizations, and regional stakeholders to strengthen relationships and support community-focused initiatives.

Her leadership extends beyond the Chamber and Nicor Gas. Patricia has played an important role in fostering collaboration between utilities, municipalities, and regional organizations, helping address infrastructure, economic development, and community priorities.

Through her extensive experience in municipal relations, community investment, infrastructure, and regional partnerships, Patricia brings a valuable perspective to the Chamber's leadership and economic development efforts.

Her commitment reflects the importance of bringing business and community leaders together to build stronger, more connected, and economically vibrant communities.

Steven currently serves as Vice President of Workforce, Strategy and External Affairs at Moraine Valley Community College, where he leads initiatives focused on community education, legislative engagement, and corporate partnerships designed to strengthen the region’s workforce and connect employers with the talent they need.

His commitment to regional leadership extends well beyond his professional role. Steven serves as the 2027 Chair-Elect of the Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce and leads the Chamber’s Strategic Plan Committee, helping shape the organization’s vision and priorities for the future. His dedication to effective governance has also earned him the Chamber’s Chairman’s Excellence Award.

Steven is also deeply committed to community service. As Board Chair of Pathlights, he helps support an organization dedicated to connecting older adults and their families with resources, care, and services throughout the south suburbs.

Through his work in education, workforce development, public policy, and community advocacy, Steven continues to demonstrate the importance of building partnerships, creating opportunities, and investing in the future of the Chicago Southland.

Paul serves as Vice President of Philanthropy and Community Relations for the Ingalls Development Foundation at UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial, where he helps connect donors and community partners with opportunities to strengthen healthcare access, clinical programs, facilities, and services throughout the South Suburbs.

With 18 years of experience in broadcast media, Paul brings a unique perspective to his work, combining communication, relationship building, strategic thinking, and community engagement to help organizations tell their stories and create meaningful connections.

His commitment to the Chicago Southland extends beyond his professional role. Paul served as the 2025 Chairman of the Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, helping advance regional engagement through business advocacy, legislative awareness, and workforce development partnerships.

Following his term as Chair, Paul continues to serve the Chamber as Immediate Past Chair and a member of the Executive Committee, remaining actively involved in efforts to strengthen the region's business community.
As a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), Paul also brings specialized expertise in philanthropy and fundraising, using his experience to connect people, resources, and organizations around opportunities that create lasting community impact.
