🎉 The East Hartford Middle School Pool is OPENING Monday, September 14! 🎉

We’re excited to welcome swimmers back this fall!

🏊 Open Swim & Lap Swim – All Ages
Open Swim and Lap Swim will be offered on select weekday evenings. Two lanes will be designated for lap swimming during Open Swim. Lifeguards may eliminate lap lanes if the pool becomes crowded.

👵 Senior Swim
Senior Swim will be offered on select weekday afternoons for seniors to enjoy open swim and swim independently.

Please see the attached calendar for the complete schedule, including Open Swim/Lap Swim, Senior Swim, and other pool activities.

🎟️ Admissions
* East Hartford residents: FREE with proof of residency.
* Residents ages 7+: Proof of residency is required.
* Children 6 & under: Must be accompanied by a responsible swimmer age 16+ and remain within arm’s reach while in the water.
* Non-residents or those without proof of residency: $15 daily admission, or a $15 monthly pool pass. Pool passes may only be purchased at the Parks & Recreation Office.

🏊‍♀️ Fall Aquatics Programs Coming Soon!
Information and registration for Aqua Zumba, Group Swim Lessons, and Private Swim Lessons will be released at the end of September, with classes beginning in October. Stay tuned!

What a week these 50 East Hartford girls had at our Inspire Girls Basketball Clinic! 🏀💗

These amazing young girls made new friends, created wonderful memories, and had so much fun! From basketball and arts & crafts to so much more, they embraced every opportunity to learn, grow, and enjoy themselves.

Most importantly, they were truly INSPIRED! ✨

This amazing clinic was made possible through a collaboration between the Town of East Hartford, CT – Government, East Hartford Parks & Recreation and The Justice Education Center. Together, we created a fun, positive, and empowering experience where our girls could build confidence, friendships, and a love for the game.

We are so proud of all the participants and can’t wait to see all the amazing things they’ll accomplish! 💪🏀💖

What a summer it has been, East Hartford!

Thank you for another unforgettable, splash-filled season at our outdoor pools. From swimming lessons and family fun to sunny afternoons spent making memories, our pools have been filled with laughter, smiles and community all summer long.

As our incredible lifeguards prepare to head back to school, we'll begin closing our outdoor pools and shifting our focus to an exciting season of fall programs and activities.

🌊 Splash & Play at Martin Park! 🌞

Join us tomorrow, Thursday, August 6th from 9 AM to Noon for a fun-filled morning at Martin Park!

Bring the family out to enjoy our giant water slide and a variety of Parks & Recreation water activities. It’s a perfect way to cool off, laugh, and make memories together — and it’s completely FREE for residents!

What an incredible afternoon at Lord Pool! 🌞💦

Our Splash Party was a huge success, with over 180 people joining us for an afternoon of fun in the sun!
From splashing around with pool floats and noodles to enjoying sweet treats from the Ice Cream Dream truck, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The music, laughter, and smiling faces made it a day to remember, and our lifeguards had just as much fun as the kids!

Thank you to everyone who came out and spent the day with us. We love creating opportunities for our community to connect, have fun, and make lasting summer memories.

We can't wait to see you back at Lord Pool soon! 🏊🍦💙

Happy National Lifeguard Appreciation Day! 🌊☀️

Today, we celebrate the incredible lifeguards who help keep our East Hartford community safe each and every day. Their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to protecting others in and around the water make a difference all season long—not just today, but every day.

A special thank you to our Aquatics Director, Laura Sobolewski, and our Aquatics Trainer, Sharon Rose, for their outstanding leadership and for ensuring our team is always trained, prepared, and ready to respond.

We'd also like to give a huge shout-out to Piolin Jr. Restaurant in East Hartford for generously providing lunch for our staff today as a show of appreciation. Your support means so much to our team!

Our campers and staff have been busy this summer having fun and making memories! Every day, at every camp, is a time to learn, grow, and have FUN!

Our campers have had a video gaming truck come, laser tag, chess, library visits, a magician... AND MORE! Every day (weather permitting) our campers take to the pools to splash around and have fun!
