*** ATTENTION ***

Today between 1:00pm and 2:30pm the East Hanover Police Department will be conducting a "Pedestrian Decoy Detail" at the intersection of Ridgedale Avenue and Ronald Drive. A plain clothes officer will be in the crosswalk attempting to cross the street. PLEASE make sure if you drive through the area you stop for our officer as required by law. The purpose of this detail is to EDUCATE people not familiar with the law on the importance of pedestrian safety.

Join us in helping to make East Hanover streets safer! With schools starting today, the East Hanover Police Department wants to raise awareness of pedestrian safety. We have kicked off a week-long Street Smart NJ campaign.

With school starting the East Hanover Police Department will be conducting a Pedestrian Safety Campaign throughout the week. The campaign will kick off tomorrow night at St. Rose of Lima Church for the "Cones with Cops" event where anyone who attends will get FREE ice cream from 6:30-8:30pm.

Passing a school bus with its stop sign out and lights flashing isn't just illegal, it also puts children at risk. Obey the traffic laws - particularly in school zones and around school buses.

Thank you to everyone that attended this year's Food Truck Festival at Lurker Park. We hope you had a good time and got to eat some amazing food!! All the money raised at the festival will be utilized to support local youth sports programs and other charities in the East Hanover area.
