Thank you to everyone who came out to the Town of East Hampton Job Fair on Saturday!

The event was well attended, and a dozen applications were submitted on the spot for a range of positions, including clerical, police, lifeguarding, manual labor, accounting, and more.

The Job Fair gave residents and prospective applicants a chance to meet directly with Town departments, ask questions, and learn more about local government careers and the civil service process.

Thank you to Human Resources, the East Hampton Town Police Department, Parks and Recreation, Finance, Sanitation, Highway, Code Enforcement, Animal Control, Suffolk County Civil Service, and all who helped make the event possible.

We are grateful to everyone interested in serving our community and helping the Town continue to provide the services our residents rely on every day.

A proud East Hampton moment.

Supervisor Kathee Burke-Gonzalez, the East Hampton Town Board, and Legislator Ann Welker were honored to recognize East Hampton High School sophomore Jessica Berger for winning first place in the Suffolk Youth Poetry Contest.

Jessica’s poem, “What That Light Costs,” stood out among submissions from teens across Suffolk County and gave voice to something so many young people feel.

Congratulations, Jessica. Your talent and heart make our whole community proud.
