Thursday December 3,2012 at 7PM East Hampton Town is having a public hearing on a Deer Management Plan. It's a 3 to 5 year plan that will inventory the deer herds and their location; addresses culling the herd and then a maintenance program to keep the deer population at a sustainable level. The EHBA has been lobbying for such a plan for over four years and pleased that the deer problem will finally be addressed. The Town Board needs to hear from the public that there is support for this plan in order to move forward with it. Please attend the hearing if you can and if you are unable to attend email or call the Town Board and the Town Clerk with your comments. Thank you!

Do you think there are too many deer in East Hampton? Did you know that the Town is working on a long term Deer Management Plan. The plan will inventory the number of deer, their locations and determine a sustainable number over the next 3 to 5 years. The deer are now having 2 and 3 sets of twins in a year!!! Do you agree that the Town needs to address this?

We pray that Sandy is kind to us and decides to go out to sea rather than visit us on land. Be safe all of you out there!

What do you think the Town should do with the scavenger waste plant? Close it, sell it, keep it as a transfer station, bring it up to a stand of the art facility? Should the Town drill deeper wells in order to determine whats in the ground? Let us know your thoughts.

Great time today at the Montauk Chamber of Commerce's Fall Festival! The weather was perfect; great crowds and the chowders were too many to test. The festival is going on tomorrow, Sunday, with food, music and a Chinese auction.
