Good Afternoon All,

On behalf of GGV, we wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you to each of you for your exceptional efforts in bringing Three Mile Harbor (Known as The Green at Gardiner's Point) project to conversion. Your hard work, dedication, and teamwork have been instrumental in achieving this milestone. We are incredibly proud of The Green at Gardiner's Point and to be able to provide homes for the people living there. Thank you again for your commitment and contribution to this success.

🏆Yesterday at the National Association for County Community and Economic Development (NACCED) Annual Conference in Mesa, Arizona, Suffolk County's Department of Economic Development & Planning proudly received the 2025 Award of Excellence in Affordable Housing for its role in The Green at Gardiner’s Point.🏘

📍Located in East Hampton, one of the nation’s most expensive housing markets,📈 this 50-unit affordable rental community was developed by Georgica Green Ventures in partnership with the East Hampton Housing Authority.🤝 With support from Suffolk County, the project provides high-quality homes for households earning 30–60% of AMI, including teachers,👩‍🏫 healthcare workers,🧑‍⚕️ first responders,👨‍🚒 and service professionals👨‍🔧 who are often priced out of the very communities they serve.

💪Through collaboration with federal, state and local partners, Suffolk County invested in land acquisition, infrastructure and HOME funding to make this project possible. The Green at Gardiner’s Point now stands as a blueprint for sustainability, inclusivity, and economic fairness proving that affordable housing can thrive even in high-cost communities.🎖

🏡💙 This award reflects our commitment to tackling the housing crisis and creating a stronger, more equitable Suffolk County.

LtoR: Suffolk County Director of Community Development, and Affordable Housing, Timothy Francis and Leah Jefferson, respectively.

The HCV program supports approximately 2.3 million households and more than five million individuals through federal rental assistance funding. I stand with the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) in asking you to fully fund the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program.
