The current system will move out of the area today....with rain exiting northwest and west central Minnesota this afternoon. Partial clearing works into eastern North Dakota this afternoon. Dry conditions on Wednesday, but mild. Cooler Thursday with sunshine and partly cloudy and cool on Friday.

The filament eruption earlier on Monday did launch a relatively slow moving coronal mass ejection (CME) into space. So far the majority of plasma appears to be heading west of Earth with the eastern edge possibly Earth directed. If so, a passage past Earth may be possible by October 1st and into the 2nd.
