103d Participates in D-Day 82 Anniversary Flyovers -

On June 6, 1944, brave Allied forces crossed the English Channel and helped change the world.

This week, the 103d Airlift Wing honored their legacy from the skies, joining D-Day commemorative flyovers in Normandy with fellow units across the force.

Behind every flight is a team of dedicated aircrew, maintainers, and support personnel who make the mission possible. A huge shout out to our team for making their incredible efforts in this event. We are proud to represent Connecticut and the Air National Guard as we help keep the spirit of the Greatest Generation alive!

CYBER YANKEE (Part 2)

Defending Connecticut doesn’t always mean boots on the ground.

Earlier this month, members of the 103d Air Control Squadron and 103d Communications Squadron participated in Cyber Yankee, an ongoing annual cyber exercise designed to test cyber capabilities to the max. Hacking, network disruptions, threat detection, and more were the star players for this exercise.

More than 100 cyber soldiers from across New England gathered at Camp Nett in Niantic for this year’s event, marking the first time it was hosted in Connecticut. The three-day symposium pushed cyber teams from Air and Army Guard units, to execute defensive operations in response to evolving cyber threat scenarios. This year, members of the Uruguayan Armed Services, who work with Connecticut through the State Partnership Program, also participated in Cyber Yankee.

Here are some pictures from this exercise, which grows larger every year. We are incredibly proud of the hard work our ACS and CS members put in to keep Connecticut safe anytime, anywhere.
