Okii friends and family,
This summer has been one for the books. Thank you everyone who came out and supported The People's Market from the beginning.....and through the end.
Last weekend will have served as the final weekend for The People's Market out at Bison Creek Ranch. After discussions with vendors, friends, family, and colleagues as well as careful consideration of the business aspects of the market, the decision was made to call it for the summer.
Though the success we had hoped for didn't necessarily take form, different measures of successes along the way provided us with valuable insight into the understanding of this type of business and whether it is capable of sustaining itself. We were able to successfully determine that it won't. We were successful at creating valuable memories and if our efforts building a market created concepts or ideas that others could use to build upon, than that sounds rather successful also, and we are grateful for that.
During that past four years so many folks added their support both near and far. I'd like to acknowledge and thank everyone who helped out in any measure. From family, friends, vendors, musicians, artist, photographers, market family/community, and those who made time during the weekends to come out. Market wouldn't have been built to what it did become without the community to help. The feelings of care, consideration, love and togetherness and community were what you brought each weekend. Thank you.
