Kindness has shown its beautiful ways in all parts of our world at WRVS this week. With the opening of Soccer season, we've heard stories of how helpful and encouraging our players are. Recess and lunch moments have been observed endlessly, with laughter, hugs and invitations to join others. With movement into the "groove" of a day in school- this week's scholars have continually brought their smile, generous hearts and helpful ways. Thank you Wayland Brenkus, Karlie Miner, and Beckham Moore (Kindergarten), Patrick Hart, (second grade) Patch Hildebrandt and Madeleine Litchfield (third grade)! Kindness matters at WRVS! ❤❤

Congratulations Ms. Haskins!
Congratulations to Ms. Haskins for the honor of being named the 2026-2027 OESU Middle/Secondary Teacher of the Year! Ms. Haskins has started her 16th year of teaching Middle School English Language Arts at WRVS. Ms. Haskins is an educator who enters each day with enthusiasm, excitement, and genuine joy. She teaches from the heart, building deep and meaningful relationships with belonging at the center of her work. We all learn from, and with her daily. It is a gift to watch her facilitate learning, spark conversation, thoughtfully probe scholars’ thinking, celebrate their successes, and encourage them to believe in themselves. Ms. Haskins is the teacher who makes you drive home smiling as you reflect on the day. Her joy is contagious, her relationships are genuine, and her impact is lasting. In October we will go to UVM and be a part of the full State Celebration; more pictures to come! Definitely reach out to her, congratulate her, and celebrate her!

Sooooooo.... time to introduce the newest Middle School Science teacher, Mr. Daniel Epstein! Welcome Mr. Epstein, we can't wait to see you on Tuesday. Here's a bit about him....

Hi Guys!

My name is Mr. Epstein and I will be teaching Middle School Science this year. I volunteer at a fossil preserve and fish with my friends in the summer and in the winter, I ski ’til I have icicles on my beard. I love teaching because it lets me share my passion for science with the next generation. The questions that you ask allow me to see the world from new perspectives every day. I absolutely love playing mini-golf and my favorite dinosaur is the mighty Ankylosaurus.

What an amazing start to the new school year! Smiles and joy in every part of the school. These scholars stepped up their "return game" with such a level of help and support- to their classmates and their teachers. I'm amazed with their hearts, they wear them on the outside of their bodies at all times. They look for someone who is sitting alone, who could join their game, who needs a word of encouragement! Amazing! I, and you, are so proud of them!
