🚨🚨Red Flag Warning🚨🚨

A Red Flag Warning has been issued in Warren, Saratoga, Washington, Montgomery, Schenectady, Albany, Rensselaer, Schoharie, Sullivan, Greene, Columbia, Ulster, and Dutchess counties from 12:00 p.m. tomorrow, April 9, to 6:00 p.m. tomorrow due to very low humidities, and stronger winds that are expected to combine to produce an increased risk of fire danger. If a fire is present, it can become extreme. During this time, dry weather, low humidity, and wind will spread fires easily, which will then become large and dangerous wildfires. PREPARE NOW:

Be aware of local burn bans being in place by visiting your city/town/village website.
Keep leaves, debris, or flammable materials at least 30 feet from your home.
Close doors and windows. Designate a room that can be closed off from outside air.
Learn your evacuation routes and practice evacuating with your family and pets. Make sure you know where to go if you need to leave.
If a fire occurs, ACT:

If local officials tell you to leave, leave immediately.
Pay attention to emergency alerts for information and instructions.
Limit your exposure to smoke. Use an N95 mask to protect yourself from smoke inhalation.
