While delivering to an apartment building, letter carrier Peter Farrell heard loud cries for help coming from a first-floor apartment. The letter carrier then saw the woman escaping her apartment. She appeared to have been severely beaten and had broken ribs.

Peter called 911 and waited with the woman until police arrived. He's a member of Buffalo-Western New York Branch 3.

Embattled Postmaster General Louis DeJoy reversed course Tuesday, saying that all changes being made to the Postal Service would be suspended until after the November 3 election, just as 20 Democratic states announced plans to file federal lawsuits.
