Water Main Repair and service interruptions
UPDATE: 2/8 10am- We are discontinuing the work which caused water service interruptions for residents or businesses in the affected areas of North Bedford St, North Water St, Water St., Folsom Ave, Grove St. and surrounding subdivisions. Water service will remain uninterrupted while the repair to the water main is being done which is scheduled for Thurs., 2/9.

Water Main Repair and service interruptions
On Wednesday, Feb. 8th there will be a crew repairing a water main leak beginning at 7am.
Water service interruption in the area of North Bedford St from the Public Library to Compass Medical is on-going as preparations are made to be able to control water flow in the repair area. Interruptions may continue through the afternoon and resume tomorrow morning. Check back for details

Pond St is now open for normal traffic. Please use caution at the bridge as the road is narrower.

Due to the extremely cold temps and windchills forecasted for Sat., Feb. 4th, we have decided not to open the Recycle Center for the safety and well being of our workers . The Recycle center will be open Wed., Feb. 8th from 8am to 1pm and Sat., Feb. 18th from 8am to 12:45pm.

ROAD CLOSURE- POND St.: Pond St will be closed indefinitely due to high water levels. Access up to #470 is available from Washington St. Access to #548 is available from Elm St in Halifax. Seek alternate routes

Washington St. Paving- UPDATE 10-5******

The final layer of pavement on Washington St. from Central St. to Crabapple Way has been rescheduled for Sat., Oct. 8th. Washington will be closed to thru traffic in this area. Please avoid this area if possible and use detours if you have to travel in this work zone.

Washington and Cedar St. Paving- UPDATE 9-27

The final layer of pavement on Cedar St. from Central St. to Crescent St. is now scheduled to be completed on Friday 9/30.

Washington St. from Central St. to Crabapple Way is scheduled to be completed on Saturday, 10/1. Please avoid these areas if possible and expect detours and delays if traveling in and around these locations
