Coaches are supposed to live forever.
They’re supposed to be there year after year — standing on that sideline, walking through the field house, coaching our kids, pushing them, believing in them, and loving this community right alongside us.
But today, our Brahma family is trying to comprehend the incomprehensible.
We lost our leader in Coach Jenkins, and we lost one of our biggest and most unconditional supporters in his loving wife, Mrs. Jenkins. But above everything else, three boys have lost their mom and dad — and there simply are no words big enough for that kind of loss.
Right now, football doesn’t matter. Wins don’t matter. None of it does.
What matters is surrounding these boys with the same kind of love and support their family has given to so many of ours.
So we will do what East Bernard does. We will show up. We will wrap our arms around these boys, their family, our coaches and our athletes. And we will carry one another through the days ahead.
Please pray for the Jenkins boys. Pray for their family. Pray for our coaches, our athletes, our school and this entire community that loved Coach Jenkins and his family so deeply.
